Project: How to make “ Metal Dust Pan” Procedures*Position a square of paper on your work surface so that its points are facing up and down, left and right. If you are using two-sided paper, make sure that the color you want for the exterior of the dustpan is facing down.
*Bring the top point of the model down to meet the bottom point. Crease and unfold.
*Bring the left point over to meet the right point. Crease and unfold.
*Bring the top point down to the center of the model. Use the intersection of crease lines created in Steps 2 and 3 as a guide. Crease and leave folded.
*Repeat Step 4 for the left, right, and bottom points of the model.
*Bring the top edge of the resulting square shape down to the center of the model. Use the intersection of points created in Steps 4-5 as a guide. Crease and unfold.
*Repeat Step 6 for the bottom edge of the model
*Bring the left edge of the model over to the center. Use the intersection of points created in Steps 4-5 as a guide. Crease and leave folded.
*Repeat Step 8 for the right edge of the model.
*Bring the top edge of the resulting rectangle down to meet the model’s center horizontal crease line. Crease and unfold.
*Bring the top edge of the model down to meet the bottom edge. Crease and leave folded.
*Open up the top layer of the model just a bit and grasp the left rectangular flap at its midpoint. Bring this midpoint up and to the left to meet the first crease line down from the top edge at the model's left edge. The upper left corner of the model should begin to rise. Hold in place.
*Repeat Step 12 for the right side of he model. As a result, the top edge of the model should come completely off your work surface and the bottom half of the model should open up.
*Tuck the top edge of the model down into the center to complete the dustpan.
